Harnessing the Power of Nutrition & Lifestyle: How Cancer Survivors Can Reduce Recurrence Risk and Reclaim Strength Speaker: Alison Tierney, Oncology Dietitian Cancer survivors often receive little guidance on how nutrition and lifestyle choices can support long-term health after treatment. In this session, oncology dietitian and breast cancer survivor, Alison Tierney, will translate the latest research into practical, empowering strategies survivors can use to reduce recurrence risk, rebuild strength, and move forward with confidence. |

Movement, Strength, and Survivorship: Fitness After Cancer Staying active during and after cancer treatment can play a powerful role in recovery, strength, and overall well-being. This panel brings together representatives from three organizations dedicated to supporting cancer survivors through physical activity and community: Team Survivor, Team Phoenix, and LIVESTRONG. Panelists will share how their programs help individuals rebuild strength, improve physical and mental health, and connect with others who understand the cancer journey. Attendees will learn about different approaches to survivor-focused fitness, the benefits of movement during survivorship, and ways communities can support these impactful programs.

Practicing Mindfulness Speaker: Dr. Michael Hammer Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with awareness and without judgment. This session introduces the concept of mindfulness and explores how simple practices—such as focused breathing, reflection, and intentional pauses—can help improve focus, reduce stress, and support thoughtful decision-making. Participants will learn practical techniques they can use in everyday work and life, and will have an opportunity to practice mindfulness in real time. |
